Hardy to Lead Engineering Design Practice

Thompson Engineering has hired Scott Hardy, PE to lead its Engineering Design Practice. Hardy comes to Thompson Engineering with more than 24 years of roadway, site/civil, and airfield design experience in Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Georgia.

Hardy will lead Thompson Engineering’s civil engineering, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, and project management teams. The group’s project list currently includes industrial, commercial, federal, and state & local projects from Houston to Savannah, Georgia.

Hardy previously worked for Burk-Kleinpeter as a Senior Vice President and Michael Baker (formerly LPA Group) as the Manager of Roadway Design for the state of Alabama. He graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Civil Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer in Alabama and Mississippi.

Hardy is active in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), twice serving as the Branch President and on the Alabama Section Board.
