POSTED ON 10/22/20
Thompson Engineering recently received a national safety certification and several state safety awards recognizing a culture of safety excellence and safe hours worked.
In July, Thompson Engineering was recertified as an Accredited Quality Contractor by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). “By becoming an Accredited Quality Contractor, Thompson Engineering’s commitment to corporate and community service excellence is clear,” said 2020 ABC National Chair Tim Keating, president and owner, R.C. Stevens, Winter Garden, Florida. “Thompson Engineering’s company-wide leadership on the AQC principals is helping to drive world-class safety performance, workforce development, diversity and quality construction in the communities in which they work.”
Only 13 organizations in Alabama hold the AQC certification, and Thompson Engineering is the only engineering firm in that group. “This recognition represents to our clients the type of firm we are – an ownership-driven team that supports the success of our clients with a commitment to safety and quality,” said CEO John Baker.
Thompson Engineering was also recognized recently with the ABC STEP Award – Platinum Level; the ABC Alabama 2020 Eagle Award; and the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Alabama, Mobile Chapter Excellence in Construction Safety for 500,000 – 1 million hours.
